All youth should be registered for religious education or in the parish school to complete their Confirmation preparation.

CONFIRMATION MASS  Bishop Burbidge will confirm the youth of the parish on Monday, October 23, 2023 at 7 pm.

REHEARSAL for CONFIRMATION will be held Sunday, October 22, at 6:30 pm.

PREPARATION FOR CONFIRMATION 2023 contains all the content a candidate should know by the time of Confirmation, as well as each of the required forms.  The required forms are also available at links below.

SPONSOR AFFIDAVITS MUST BE SUBMITTED ASAP.  Sponsors should ask for an affidavit or letter from the parish in which they are registered.  We will accept the form or letter generated by the sponsor’s parish.  You may find our parish sponsor affidavit here.

APOSTOLIC SERVICE  Since preparation for Confirmation is an apprenticeship to the Christian life, all candidates should complete 20 hours of apostolic service, which is based on the Spiritual & Corporal Works of Mercy.

• The APOSTOLIC FINAL is due on the first day of CCD for religious ed students, and is assigned as homework in the fall for students of the parish school.
• Please note that we do NOT require a tracking of hours, rather, a signature of a parent that verifies the service has been completed.

The Saint Report is a one-page (typed) paper, with one paragraph summarizing the Saint’s life, and a second paragraph explaining why this particular Saint was chosen.

The PASTOR LETTER (to Fr. Kelly) will be due for all candidates immediately after the retreat, in the fall.  An example of the letter may be found HERE.  It may be typed or handwritten; if handwritten, it should be in ink, not pencil.
