Registration for in boundaries Parishioners:
In the Diocese of Arlington, parishioners are required to register at the parish within whose boundaries they live. This is not just an organizational policy. Rather, canon law says that priests are responsible for the spiritual well-being (ensuring the sacraments, etc.) of the people within his “domicile.”
Registration forms can be found in the rack outside the parish office and can be turned into the parish office. Registration forms can also be obtained at the parish office.
Registration for out of bounds Parishioners:
All parishes have boundaries determined by the Diocese of Arlington. If an individual lives in another parish and wishes to join Blessed Sacrament he or she must first gain permission from Blessed Sacrament as well as a letter of permission from the pastor of the parish in which the individual resides. If permission is granted, the canonical rights remains with the parish where he or she lives.
