Principal's Welcome

Welcome to our website!

We hope it will be a valuable source of school information and timely news for parents, students, and visitors to this site.  Our mission, “To create an educated community to serve Christ and one another”, is evident on each web page.  It is a mission that we take to heart.  We provide a Christ-centered environment where the Catholic faith is taught and lived.  Christian values are developed and the total school community is nurtured in their spiritual growth by frequent participation in liturgy, prayer and service to others.

Our staff takes great pride in providing a safe and secure learning environment that allows our students to flourish and to grow.  Our teachers are highly qualified professionals committed to excellence in education as they strive to teach the “whole” child, encouraging academic, emotional and social success.

Our school has a 60-year tradition of partnering with our parents to create a learning environment that is engaging, challenging, and supportive. Our parents volunteer many hours to make Blessed Sacrament School a wonderful place for faith formation and student achievement.  We are blessed with an active PTO, which supervises major fundraising activities and assists us to maintain excellent school programs of high quality.

Our students explore their personal strengths and interests and make continual progress to achieve success. Instruction includes the core subjects, as well as foreign language (French or Spanish), band, music, technology, and art.  In addition to our stellar academic programs, our students participate in a rich variety of after-school enrichment activities such as drama, chess, chorus, Odyssey of the Mind and a unique program called “Make a Joyful Noise” – strings instruction in violin and bass for our young Pre School students.  We also offer a variety of extracurricular CYO sports activities such as basketball, tennis, and track.

In September 2008, Blessed Sacrament School was recognized by the United States Department of Education with the “No Child Left Behind Blue Ribbon School of National Excellence Award”.  This prestigious award is given annually to 50 private schools in the nation and it recognizes excellent achievement on standardized tests, with our students scoring in the top 10 percent in the nation. We are proud of this honor, which reflects the work of the entire Blessed Sacrament community- our parents, our students, our teachers and our parish.

We are very proud of the accomplishments of our students and school. We encourage you to visit us during one of our Open House Days to see firsthand how we create an educated community to serve Christ and one another.
